SOCOBLADE LEP 220 & 220H: long lasting protection for blade leading edge
Extended Blade Life
Easy Application
High Durability
SOCOBLADE LEP 220 & SOCOBLADE LEP 220H
Meet our high-performance leading-edge protection coatings for wind turbine blades. SOCOBLADE LEP 220 and SOCOBLADE LEP 220H have been designed considering on-site application constraints, to offer ease of application and high-quality results. The rollable two-component coating can be applied on new blades as proactive protection, in-service blades as a preventive maintenance or damaged blades as a repair solution. The coating protects blades against rain, sand, hail, and other particle erosion.
SOCOBLADE LEP 220
Designed for low humidity environments installation
(10% to 99% RH)
SOCOBLADE LEP 220H
Recommended for higher humidity environments installation (35%-99% RH)
Offer longer pot life

The speed at the tip of some of the largest wind turbine blades
The leading edges of wind turbine blades are constantly exposed to a wide range of environmental factors, which gradually deteriorate them. These elements can come from the climate and/or from the particles of the environment in which the wind turbine is set (sand, sea salt, etc.). By protecting the leading edge in particular, you extend the life of the blade, its performance, and the whole wind turbine.
Leading edge erosion can reduce the annual energy production of a wind turbine by up to 5%. A damaged blade is no longer as effective, will require longer downtime and more repair material. Don’t wait for deep erosion, be proactive and apply a high-performance protective coating to the leading edge now!
